Welcome! Immanuel Baptist Church, Westbrook, MN is located in Cottonwood County in the heart of the prairie in beautiful southwestern Minnesota. We are an independent Baptist Church. Our affiliations: - the Minnesota Baptist Association, a fellowship of independent Baptist churches in Minnesota, specifically geared to church-planting
www.mbaoc.org - The Southwestern Association of Baptist Churches
- the New Testament Association of Baptist Churches, a national fellowship of independent Baptist churches
www.ntaibc.org We take what is commonly called a fundamentalist position. We believe in the Old Time Religion: - The Bible is the fully inspired Word of God
- Jesus is the incarnate, virgin-born Son of God
- Jesus died upon the cross and shed His blood to pay the penalty for our sin
- Jesus rose from the dead bodily on the third day
- Jesus Christ is coming again to rapture the believer, and one day He will come and rule this earth as King of Kings!
- It is important to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints (Jude 3)
The music we use in our worship is traditional and God-honoring in its melody and its message. While we generally use the King James Version of the Bible in our preaching and teaching, we recognize that there are other good versions that are appropriate for study and reading, such as the NKJV and NASB. The pulpit emphasis is expository preaching--preaching the Word of God, exposing what God has to say and exalting our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Westbrook Christian School has been one of the ministries of our church for almost thirty years. During the 2008-2009 school year we will continue operating as a service organization for families who have chosen to home-school their children. Please contact us if we can be of help to your family. Immanuel Baptist Church has been serving the Lord faithfully since 1908. We will celebrate God's goodness for the past 100 years this November 15, 16, 2008. Come join our 100th anniversary celebration! We have a wonderful Savior! The good news of the Gospel is that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13) Every person is a sinner in need of a Savior Jesus Christ took our sin payment on the Cross of Calvary Each person who repents of his sin and puts his trust in the Lord Jesus is gloriously born again Salvation includes forgiveness of sin, peace, joy and the assurance of an eternal home in heaven
Please give us a call or email us if we can be of any help to you. Yours in the Savior, Rob Adams, Pastor 507.274.5556 (church) 507.360.3524 (cell) |
